Whoop 5.0 competitor from Polar could be on the way

A new Polar fitness tracking wearable is launching soon. Two teaser images of the product indicate that it is a wrist-worn device, though apparently, it is not a smartwatch. While the features of this wearable remain under wraps, its design suggests that it could compete with the likes of the Whoop 5.0 or the Amazfit Helio Strap.
Polar has released another teaser image of an upcoming wearable. First spotted on the brand’s website in June, the company indicates that this is not a smartwatch; on the webpage, the phrase ‘watch this space’ has the word watch crossed out. The original teaser image (above) also indicates that this will be a fitness band that could share similarities to the Whoop 5.0 or the Amazfit Helio Strap (curr. $99.99 at Amazon).
A second image of this new Polar wearable (below) has recently been shared on Reddit. Like the webpage image, it indicates that the product will have an adjustable fabric wristband. Plus, it also shows the top half of a sensor, with a different casing design compared to the Polar 360. This older wearable is sold to businesses for corporate wellness initiatives, sports teams or medical insurance. It is unclear whether or not this latest model, which is expected to be sold directly to consumers, will have a new sensor or a display.
Polar has yet to confirm the features of this new fitness tracking wristband. However, it is likely to share some functionality with the Polar 360. This model can be used to track metrics like heart rate, skin temperature, daily activity and sleep quality. The new Polar fitness tracking wearable will be unveiled on September 3rd 2025. The company is inviting prospective customers to sign up to receive emails related to this product’s launch.
